Upcoming Events:

Summer Training
Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals (5pm to 8pm) starting
7/7/20. These are the rehearsals that will get us ready for the competitive
season. This is also the time where we grow as a community and start
creating great memories. Since we could not meet in the spring, we will take
the month of July to do the following:
-Get to know all members of the program, including the staff and Band
Boosters Executive Board.
-Develop fundamental techniques for our music and visual program.
-Define and refine our music and visual technique by advancing through the
competitive show music, warm ups, and visual blocks/choreography.
-Follow, and get used to, all health guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.
We ask that you please make the effort to come to practice if you are not
away for vacation. However, we understand summer is summer. Attendance
will be taken more seriously at Band Camp

Band Camp
A successful Band Camp leads to a successful season! Here, every member works
together to learn the entire competitive show, musically and visually. It is crucial that all
members commit to this camp so we start the season at full speed. Helpful tip: Band
Camp will be easier if you attend all or most of the July and early August rehearsals.
8/17-8/21 and 8/24-8/26
Block 1 8am-12pm
Break 12pm-4pm
Block 2 4pm-8pm

On Thursday, 8/27, we will attempt to plan a fun, and safe, outing for those who can/
want to celebrate a successful band camp! More details TBA.
Due to this year’s health protocols and guidelines, students must leave campus during the
12pm-4pm break. We cannot have anyone congregating or unsupervised. If you
anticipate any transportation challenges, please let me know asap, and sign the attached
This break is a great time to eat at home, shower, rest, clean your instrument, refill your
gallon water jug, safely go get take out at a local restaurant, etc. It would be a good idea
to stay out of the sun since 100% of rehearsals will be outdoors. The expectation is that
everyone is gone from 12pm-4pm.
Students are expected to arrive prepared for an efficient 8am start and 4pm start.
Hey, Mr. A! What do I need to bring?
It is important that all students bring their learning resources (music in a 3-ring binder,
drill books/sheets, instrument, equipment, and a pencil) as well gallon jugs for water, a
mask, sunscreen, a hat, and/or sunglasses to have a healthy and productive Band Camp!

Other events TBA. Please refer to the student handbook for event descriptions.

Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to volunteer for any of these events.
